High Resolution - With a screen resolution set at 640 x 480 and a full 30 fps (frames per second), this file will require a very robust computer to playback on. File sizes vary from 12MB to 4MB per 30 seconds of video. This video file is not meant to be streamed over the Internet. Instead, it should be played back from your local computer hard drive or your local area network.
Medium Resolution - While this file can be streamed over the Internet, you should only do so with a Broadband connection like a cable modem, T1, or Fiber. The screen resolution is set at a respectable 320 x 240 and the frame rate is still 30/fps. Typical file size is between 2 - 4 MB per 30 seconds of video and it will stream at a rate of 512Kbps (kilobits per second).
Low Resolution - While the average person with a 56K modem connection may experience delays trying to stream this size file, it is the smallest resolution that we recommend any advertiser to use, after all presentation is everything. The screen resoution is 240 x 180, but the frame rate has been reduced to 15fps. Typical file size will run 2MB or less per 30 seconds of video and the streaming rate is at 256Kbps.
MPEG1 - Of all the formats available MPEG1 is the most widely accepted, as all major media players and any computer within the last 5 years are able to play the format. There is only one resolution at 352 x 240 (also known at SIF size or Standard Image Format size) and plays at a full 30 fps. Typically the file size is around 6MB for 30 seconds of video. MPEG1 provides great detail even when viewed full screen and is an ideal format if you want to add video to a Powerpoint presentation.
